Have you watched the xAPI Overview for Lectora yet? Watch it Now!!!
Our Tablet Scenario Lectora template looks complicated, but it's super simple when it comes to xAPI.
Each time a learner selects one of the buttons at left of the screen, a few actions take place, including running an action group called "Tab Action Group."
At the top of this action group, we've included a send statement action that sends a statement indicating that the learner reviewed the last tab they pressed.
It looks like this.
Since we're using variables to keep track of which button was pressed in this interaction, we can simplify our xAPI build down to just 1 statement for all 4 buttons.
We use the variable value for the current selected tab as the Object ID, and we're good to go.
To adjust this statements, open the Tab Action Group, then open the Action tab in the top ribbon.
From here, you can edit the details through Lectora's interface or add custom values.
You can also add conditions to specify if the statement fires every time the button is clicked, or only at specific times.
After edits, you just need to publish your file to xAPI to get statements going to your LRS.
